Monolithic Collection Explores Permanence, Material Innovation, and Furniture as Inhabitable Sculpture at Milan's Premier Design Fair

Piegatto makes its debut at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026 with Carved Landscapes, a collection that positions furniture as both contemporary artifact and inhabitable sculpture. Presented in Hall 18, Stand F12, the exhibition marks a key step in the brand’s transition to a global platform. 

The collection explores monolithic forms inspired by geological formations and prehistoric structures, where function is revealed through subtraction rather than construction. Objects appear carved rather than assembled, blurring the boundary between architecture and furniture.

Aligned with the 2026 theme “A Matter of Salone,” the presentation reflects on permanence in a fast-paced world, emphasizing material integrity, craftsmanship, and timeless design. The exhibition unfolds as a spatial landscape, where pieces act as landmarks and lighting contributes to a sculptural atmosphere.

New introductions include the Retiro Sofa, made from a sustainable composite of reclaimed wood residue, and the Toko Tables, inspired by ancient stone monuments. The modular Nuuk Sofa system creates fluid seating landscapes, while the Ovo Chair introduces movement through a rotating mechanism. The Ikigai Tables focus on balance and essential form.

With Carved Landscapes, Piegatto presents more than a furniture collection, it offers a reflection on the enduring relationship between material, craftsmanship, and the spaces we inhabit. As the brand makes its first appearance at Salone del Mobile.Milano, it signals the beginning of a new international chapter, inviting visitors to experience design that is sculptural, tactile, and made to stand the test of time.
