Alejandro Estrada
Born in Guatemala, Graduated as an architect from Francisco Marroquin University, studied and worked as an apprentice sculpture in Firenze with the artist Armando Basile and in Carrara at Studio di Nicola in Italy.
Cofounder with Sandra of Piegatto back in 2006, Alejandro works in different felds ranging from architecture where he has designed all sorts of buildings in Guatemala to product design where he creates many of the pieces of the collections presented by Piegatto.
Alejandro believes observation, persistence, simplicity, beauty and good craftsmanship are the most important qualities that an object needs to be created.
His designs explore movement and ergonomics as the central points that when well executed serve to create a unique piece that will add beauty to a space, comfort to their users and a sense of nature, as every piece evokes where we came from and what surrounds us.
Alejandro is building a legacy, where his footsteps are just the start to create a world brand that the next generations will follow with their own creativity and knowledge to create joy and happiness to the people that trust in our products
